S t a t i s t i c s & R e s e a r c h  M e t h o d s

The research thus far should have been more in depth as we should have reviewed the literature better after identifying the issue during the planning phase. Also, this can be avoided if we have reviewed the literature deeper so as the research would be more precise. This would affect the result as the two variables tested might be wrong as we would have overlooked certain issues. In addition, when we send out our pre and post SL survey, there are people who did not actually take the survey seriously which would result in a variation of answers. Moving on, this situation could not be avoided but it can be reduced by asking the participants that are part of the study to take the survey seriously. Qualitative data allows us to understand the thought process of participants as they explain the reason behind their option while quantitative data only requires the participants to rate the questions based on the scale given which are just numbers.  Quantitative data would accurately represent the sample as the options are fixed. While qualitative data would be more informative and useful as you are able to know the reason behind the option chosen by the participant and would allow you to make changes to your study to improve it.
