CIRCLE TIME!
The SMART objectives for all three sessions were not met. As we are working with lower primary students, we were not able to conduct activities the way we wanted to as we were not able to impart the knowledge that we want them to learn. In addition, our SMART objectives were similar hence it was not as effective to measure them as it could be compressed into one main objective. Moving on, we were not able to carry out the evaluation to measure the objectives as it was hard for us to conduct our activity as it was complex for the students. For example, the first session, we aimed to teach them about anger management however we were not able to do so as our activity was not hands-on enough for the students. The students found it hard to understand due to the complex words used in the acronym ‘RETHINK’. Hence, we could not move forward with the evaluation part as it was impossible for the students to understand. Therefore, for all the sessions instead of using post-its which were originally planned, we decided to ask them verbally to roughly get a basis of measurement for the objectives. Our activities did not require a huge amount of logistics when executing as the logistics we bought were used mainly during the last session. Hence, we only use what we needed which resulted in us not using more than half of the expected expenditure mentioned during the planning stage.
